Why is Northeastern ranked so low?
I posted this on r/NEU and got downvoted like crazy, so I'm guessing there's probably some bias coming from that sub, so I'm posting on here to see if I get some different responses.
I recently just got accepted to Northeastern for Computer Science & Business Administration (have to spend a year in the New York campus before transferring to Boston). I'm still in shock because I saw the acceptance rate was 6% or something crazy like that. I wasn't expecting to get in, and I really only applied cuz the application was free. After getting in, I checked the rankings and it's not even ranked T50. This surprised me because I was expecting it to be ranked much higher due to such a low acceptance rate. It's even ranked below other schools, such as Penn State and Rutgers, both of which are schools I got accepted to (computer science). Now, I'm wondering if Northeastern is a good option compared to those two other schools. Would definitely appreciate some insight on this.
