Any lore on the vultures?

Hey all!

I'm new to Chaos Knights. I just picked up a box of war dogs today as allies for my Night Lords warband, and I was wondering if there was any lore on the vultures/vulture-like birds on them? Are they some kind of daemon or warp entity or just actual vultures that somehow spread across the galaxy? 🙂
