Just getting into base building

I’m still relatively new (~200 hours played give or take) and really wanting to get into building cool bases but never know where to start or really understood the building in this game but I spent longer than I’d like to admit turning this minor settlement into a minor trade station with a feeder to attract the T. rex fauna on the planet. Any tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I dropped the glyphs and the cords if anyone wants to take a look
