missing betta - please help

2 hours ago she was in there and suddenly shes not!! my tank has a cover AND i put paper and tape covering all the feeding hole and the cord holes to make sure no one can jump out and shes just vanished, shes my thickest girl so i do not understand i have looked everywhere, in the tank and around and i see nothing - any tips?? has this happened to anyone else??
