Some sort of depth measuring instrument. This thing sits on four legs, the middle one screws down onto the item being measured - the scale on the side has 0.5mm graduations and the scale on top disc lets you measure to 2 decimal places e.g. 5.73mm. What is this called and any idea of use cases?
